Sustainability

Made to be kept.

CLÉMENTS was built on a single conviction: that a wardrobe should be considered, not accumulated. That belief shapes how we design, how much we make, and what we choose to make it from.

We work in small, deliberate collections rather than continuous drops. Each piece is intended to be worn for years and to hold its shape, its colour and its hand through them.

This page sets out how we work today. We would rather describe how we work honestly than claim more than we can evidence.

Nothing is included without a reason. Nothing is made to be discarded.

Materials

Materials

Chosen for how they hang

Each fabric is chosen for how it moves, how it holds its shape and how it wears over time: silk, viscose and satin where a piece should fall softly; scuba crepe, twill and power mesh where a silhouette needs structure. Every garment's full composition is listed on its product page.

We are not going to tell you that makes our clothes low-impact. Fibre choice is one decision among many, and no fibre is automatically the better one. It is simply the choice we have made for each piece, and we can tell you why.

Packaging

As little as possible

Tissue. A mailer made from recycled material. A thank you card. Nothing else.

Everything we have goes into the garment, not what it arrives in.

Considered, never staged.

Production

Production

Small runs, by design

We produce in deliberately limited quantities. That is not a scarcity tactic — it is how we avoid being left holding stock we have to discount, warehouse or write off. When a style sells out, it sells out.

We would rather make less and mean it.

Manufacturing

A small number of partners

We work with a small number of manufacturing partners, chosen for the quality of their making and because we can speak to them directly, which means we know who sews our clothes and they know what we expect. Where each piece is made is listed on its product page.

We are not chasing the lowest price.

Longevity

Longevity

The one you keep wearing

Every piece is designed to outlast the season it arrives in — trans-seasonal, built around a wardrobe rather than a drop, cut and finished to be worn on repeat.

We would rather you bought one thing you wear for years than four you wear for a season. That is the design brief, and it is the part of all this we can genuinely control.

An honest note.

We are a new label and we are early in this. We hold no environmental certifications, and we have not measured our emissions or our water use — so you will not find those claims on this page. What is here is what we do and what we can stand behind.

We do not claim perfection, and we will not pretend the work is finished. As things change we will update this page and date the change. If you think we have got something wrong, tell us: hello@clementsthelabel.com
